Evaluation of Polymer Separation System Purifier N 1024 device efficiency
Duliková, Michaela ; Charvátová,, Michaela (referee) ; Čáslavský, Josef (advisor)
In this Diploma Thesis the recycling of the PET bottles in the company PETKA CZ, a.s. is under focus. Thesis describes the Italian technology AMUT designed for physical recycling of the PET bottles. The primary goal is the quality of the final recycled product, PET flakes, particularly in the context of undesirable admixtures such as PVC, other polymers and impurities. Due to the deteriorating quality of the PET flakes the equipment Polymer Separation System Purifier N 1024 has been tested, which had significantly reduced admixtures in PET flakes. As it turned out, the current procedures for solving problems with the PET flakes quality are no longer sufficient.
Sorting algorithms
Schwarz, Jakub ; Smrž, Jaroslav (referee) ; Dvořák, Jiří (advisor)
Enormous volume of data, which has been processed during production operations, requires easy orientation and quick searching. Exact search in real time is essential for success. Correct and quick data-sorting is one of the most important activity during dataprocessing. The goal of this bachelor’s thesis is background research of sorting algorithms. To achieve the goal, basic concepts of sorting theory will be described (determined) and there will be division of sorting algorithms by different criterions. For each algorithm of internal array sorting, sorting principles will be described and analysis of efficiency will be provided. The results will be verified by experimental program.
Design of vibrating waste sorter
Taska, Abraham ; Tůma, Zdeněk (referee) ; Synek, Miloš (advisor)
The master thesis deals with a construction proposal for a vibrating sorter of cartridges. The thesis contains the theoretical part characterizing various sorter types of cartridges and describes the principle of sorting with the help of the vibrating sorters. The practical part includes a draft of a drive, calculation of a vibrating sorter, a proposal of compression springs bearing vibration frame and a control calculation of these springs. A complete vibrating sorter of the cartridges is created in a 3D modeling program. The thesis is attached by the drawings of the individual assemblies, subassemblies and individual parts.
Determining the possibilities of increasing binding potencial of fly ash for the usage in cement composites
Jančaříková, Denisa ; Ďurica,, Tibor (referee) ; Klečka,, Tomáš (referee) ; Kulísek, Karel (referee) ; Hela, Rudolf (advisor)
The deliberate use of fly ash in the production of concrete has been used for decades, but recent trends tend to maximise its utility properties. These are different types of activations from chemical through thermal to mechanical. An alkaline agent is added to chemical activation which, by etching the glass structure of the ash grain, promotes its reactivity. Mechanical activation is mainly focused on granulometry and particle size distribution curve. In this thesis three mechanical activation methods are compared: separation the ash into fractions by grain size, mixing these fractions to achieve the ideal particle size distribution curve and grinding. Four types of ash were collected from the Tušimice power plant – ash from individual electrostatic separators (I, II and III) and SESYP ash which represents the total volume of production. Ash from individual separators differ not only in the particle size but also in the chemical composition and reactivity. Better properties generally have smaller ash particles. This is used by mechanical activation by sorting. When mixing the individual ash fractions, the aim is to achieve an optimal grading curve of either the ash itself or the fine particle set in the concrete. In this work, ash is only used to calculate the mixing ratio and the grading curve according to Funk was selected as optimal. The last compared option of activation was grinding ash. Grinding was carried out in an industrial mill for 15, 30, 45, 60 and 75 minutes. The efficiency of the modified ash was monitored for cement paste in terms of rheology and for concrete in terms of consistency, strength and durability. Based on the results we can say that mechanical activation by sorting is suitable for special purposes, but it’s necessary to realise that coarser ash fractions remain unused. When mixing the fractions to ensure matrix density, the efficiency was shown mainly on the durability characteristics. Grinding cause positive effect.
A Classification Methods for Retinal Nerve Fibre Layer Analysis
Zapletal, Petr ; Kolář, Radim (referee) ; Odstrčilík, Jan (advisor)
This thesis is deal with classification for retinal nerve fibre layer. Texture features from six texture analysis methods are used for classification. All methods calculate feature vector from inputs images. This feature vector is characterized for every cluster (class). Classification is realized by three supervised learning algorithms and one unsupervised learning algorithm. The first testing algorithm is called Ho-Kashyap. The next is Bayess classifier NDDF (Normal Density Discriminant Function). The third is the Nearest Neighbor algorithm k-NN and the last tested classifier is algorithm K-means, which belongs to clustering. For better compactness of this thesis, three methods for selection of training patterns in supervised learning algorithms are implemented. The methods are based on Repeated Random Subsampling Cross Validation, K-Fold Cross Validation and Leave One Out Cross Validation algorithms. All algorithms are quantitatively compared in the sense of classication error evaluation.
Effective management of plastic waste
Kostková, Kateřina ; Pavlas, Martin (referee) ; Gregor, Jiří (advisor)
The main content of the submitted diploma thesis is the implementation of analysis of separated plastic waste and examination of the issue of extrusion tests. The practical knowledge is preceded by a search of waste management in the Czech Republic and get acquainted with the issue of polymer materials. The research is about plastic waste management and preparation of polymeric materials for extrusion tests. Theoretical knowledge is then applied in the practical implementation of extrusion tests.
Electronic catalogue of the active devices
Ambrož, Aleš ; Slanina, Martin (referee) ; Petržela, Jiří (advisor)
This work deals with creating an catalogue of active devices. The catalogue enables editing and sorting the devices etc. This work describes briefly databases, choosen programming language and deals with the functions of the catalogue.
Design of a paper waste container
Jančová, Petra ; Haltof, Vladimír (referee) ; Vespalec, Arnošt (advisor)
The aim of this work is to create a conceptual design of a paper recycling container with regard to aesthetic shaping, effective use of internal storage space, handling, transport and ergonomic requirements. It solves the shortcomings of current containers by timeless shaping using modern materials and reliable production technologies. The result is a practical container design that uses psychology to encourage the public to sort paper waste and thus contributes to environmental responsibility and sustainability.
